As I was distracted taking photos, Luca rearranged the red-white-red-white pattern to all whites and reds together.

While a huge part of my doing this 365 is to improve my photography skills, and one of the skills I’d like to improve is editing down…..clearly, I’m failing on this area today!

Although there is a clear ‘winner’ for today’s photo, I couldn’t cut any of these others out to sit lonely on my hard drive.  (Click on any of these small images to view larger as a gallery).

So, as it turns out, when you throw a rock into the water, it is gone forever.  This fact saddened poor Milo today.  This trip to the beach today may warrant my first multiple picture post to tell the whole story.

Day 14: Kite Surfer

 iphone photo it was for today!  On windy days when we pick my oldest up from preschool we do a little drive by of the beach to see if we can find any kite surfers.  The last few weeks have been SOOO windy, so we’ve been in luck.  Also, since the time changed this happens to be the beautiful magic hour and the sun setting behind these amazing athletes ads an extra punch of excitement and beauty!!  I’m going to try and take my ‘big’ camera down one of these days to capture these guys – they are unreal to watch catch the wind and waves.

Ok , so, I’m going to allow myself some ‘cheat day’s throughout this process.  This photo wasn’t taken ON this day but within the same week.  I was so busy today working on house stuff while Andrew and the boys celebrated my niece’s 1st birthday in Canada I didn’t take a single pic!  So…this beauty will have to do.

After finding my ‘Magic Hour’ app on my phone and had me explain it to him.   The next day he came home from school and asked…”mom, do you want to take a picture of me during the magical hour?’  That’s my boy…of course it was a nasty day, almost dark at 4:00pm and he just went out and ran all over the deck….oh well, the thought that counts right?

C after a bath in her finally cleaned up room – she’s just moved in and I’ve finally gotten all her clothes, blankets, sheets, shoes, hats, headbands, tights, socks, bathing suites, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts……put away. Wow, my boys didn’t have so many ‘categories.’

Day 4: I’m at a Pay Phone Trying to call home….

all of my change I spent on you….Sorry, couldn’t resist! Seriously, my friend exclaimed “a pay phone!!!!” when we saw this today like it was an museum exhibit!

Day 3: Busted! Buying Christmas Decor on Nov 1st

In our family, we say ‘BUSTED!!!’ if anyone references Christmas outside the Thanksgiving-New Year’s time frame.

If we didn’t, we’d be listening to John Denver and the Muppets 12 months a year.
